Magic on MacDonald

Is this Stars Hollow? (Gilmore Girls fans get the reference!) Not quite, but the quaint country vibes and sweet air in Inglewood will make you feel as though you’re living in a Hallmark movie. This charming 4-bedroom century home, backing onto the future extension of the Caledon Trailway (The Inglewood train no longer runs.), blends all the comforts of the suburbs (an easy commute to Toronto, sewers and municipal water) with the pure simplicity of small-town living.

The interior combines sumptuous, timeless features (living room built-ins, hardwood floors, an open-concept country kitchen, main floor laundry) with over 2500 square feet of functional living and entertaining space over three levels. Enjoy the storage and media room in the basement without sacrificing main-floor or bedroom space: this home is deceptively spacious.

The wrap-around porch and 3-season room are perfect for stargazing, spilling the tea with friends, or curling up with a good book. Wave to the lovely neighbours on this quiet street (who truly help one another!) and learn why this community harks back to a simpler time. Grabbing an ice cream cone, or latte, at the top of the street and watching the neighbourhood kids ride their bikes past evokes feelings of the life we’ve all wanted these past few years. This home is the backdrop of happy memories yet to be made: Why not make it yours?

The poetry of 115 MacDonald must be felt in person. Choose Inglewood for your next chapter. The fireflies are calling.

Five Reasons We’re Seeing Stars!

(Hint: it’s not just the clear Inglewood sky!)

1. It passes the vibe check! It’s worth mentioning again: this house feels straight out of Gilmore Girls or a Hallmark movie! There is an abundance of charm here, and you will quickly get to know (and love) your neighbours!

2. The kitchen. We dream of kitchens like this one with ample counter space, storage galore, and a coveted double apron sink. We also love that it’s combined with a king sized dining room that includes a walk-out to the three season room. Even a confirmed introvert could be persuaded to throw a monthly dinner party in the house!

3. Four bedrooms! We love that all four bedrooms are a generous size and on the second floor. Add to that the charm of sloped ceilings and the comfort of good water pressure and forced air and we have a winning combination. Of course, the basement media room could be converted to a fifth bedroom if future need arose.

4. The yard. We’ve found the balance between generous and manageable. No need for a riding lawn mower here (sorry, dads!) but the fenced yard has a large shed, dining patio, enough room for a play structure or soccer game and will soon back onto a hiking trail.

5. Peace of mind. Purchasing a home can be stressful and buyers shouldn’t have extra worries! An A+ Carson Dunlop home inspection is available and a home warranty is in place for 30 days after closing (available for extension by buyer) for added confidence. The furnace and AC are 2019 and the house has been well-maintained.
